The Professional Development Department builds leaders to advance student achievement.
The Department of Curriculum and Professional Development supports the FCPS vision that all students will acquire the knowledge and skills to achieve and the confidence to succeed, and that our educators are equipped to provide challenging and dynamic learning opportunities.
The department promotes a shared curricular vision of the academic development of each student from prekindergarten to graduation and fosters development of 21st century skills and knowledge to ensure that each student:
